Turned Up Turquoise by China Glaze

In all honesty, I think this color should be called Turned up Teal and not Turned Up Turquoise. It is definitely more teal than turquoise. I like this color and to my surprise it dried with a matte finish. I got this from Copious for a PENNY!! (If you want to sign up and receive and $10 credit use my link here and it will be applied.)

In yesterday's post Matte vs Matte, I stated that I had never used a matte before so imagine my surprise today when Turned Up Turquoise dried as a matte. It was a nice surprise, but like with other matte finishes adding your favorite top coat will make matte shine :-). I didn't make China Glaze Turned up Turquoise into a shiny polish though.

I found the polish very difficult to photograph. On some pictures Turned Up Turquoise looks like a mint colored polish and then on others it looks blue. This is not the case. The color is more of a teal-turquoise. It's more green than blue and very bright! Always a good thing for the summer. I tried several different lighting options and still couldn't get a true to life color.

This color gave me the BLUES because I couldn't get the correct color in my pictures to show you guys. I still wanted to share this with you even though the color is waaaaaay off.

Here's a comparison with OPI Fly and China Glaze Aquadellic:
