Happy first day of Spring!!
Today's post is about our lovely feet! I know this part of our bodies gets neglected in the Winter time. I have dry skin and so does my sons. We keep Aquaphor around our house for their eczema and dry skin. I was watching a YouTube video and saw someone's (I can't remember who it was) beauty tip to put Vaseline on your feet every night after you shower and then put socks on. I thought, that sounds like it'll work!
I decided to give it a try, but instead of using the Vaseline, I used Aquaphor. Aquaphor clearly states on the tub that it is the "Healing Ointment" and is "Advanced therapy for dry, cracked, or irritated skin." Aquaphor has a list of uses on the back panel. They are as follows:
Uses:
- Temporarily protects minor cuts, scrapes, burns
- Temporarily protects and helps relieve chapped or cracked skin and lips
- Helps protect from the drying effects of wind and cold weather
- Helps treat and prevent diaper rash
- Protects chafed skin associated with diaper rash and helps protect from wetness
I have the "baby" kind so mine does specifically talk about diaper rash.
I knew using Aquaphor would help me due to my dry skin, which was even more aggravated due to be postpartum and the Winter weather. I added some Aquaphor in my hands and rubbed it into my feet focusing on my heels. I put on a pair of socks and relaxed for a bit. I am not a person who can sleep in socks so the socks definitely came off before I went to sleep. I must say that this tip really worked for me. My feet are back to being soft and they are ready for sandal weather!
I will continue to do this everyday and keep my feet looking and feeling great. I loved this tip and I'm so glad it worked.
